Hello and welcome,

My name is Cassie, and I am the creator behind Studio Rielle.

I have a love for opals and design bespoke jewellery inspired by the sun, the sea, and the unknown around us, all from my studio nestled in the native bushland of Tasmania.

In 2020, a spontaneous road trip in a van led me to Lightning Ridge, the home of the black opal, found on the outskirts of NSW, Australia. It was there I fell in love with opals.

After that trip, I challenged myself to make my own opal ring, which turned into a newfound love and appreciation for silversmithing and jewellery making.

After moving from Sydney to Tasmania, I found myself running a local jeweller's. This new career gave me valuable knowledge and insight into the jewellery industry. I loved being able to see behind the scenes, from how something is made to sourcing gemstones, but my favourite part was helping my clients choose their next piece or repair a sentimental item.

After some time, I realised that creating pieces of my own, ones that could be cherished by someone, was something I truly wanted to pursue, so I decided to continue with my own jewellery.

Pulling influence from the natural world, different cultures, art, travel, and my fascination with the cosmic sea above us, each piece is handcrafted using recycled metals and Australian opals sourced directly from miners and cutters.

I am completely self-taught and still learning as I go, so I am incredibly grateful for every customer who purchases a piece from me. Every piece has been lovingly handmade, and I hope it brings as much joy and wonder to you as it did to me.
