Frequently Asked Questions

I offer exchanges for all orders within 14 days of delivery unless stated otherwise on the items description. Please contact me via the contact page immediately if you would like to lodge an exchange. 

I will offer a refund for faulty items.*
 

For health and safety reasons I do not accept returns for pierced earring jewellery. Returns postage will be at the buyer's expense. Please note: Sample Sale and Custom Orders are considered Final Sale and are not eligible for returns.

There are a few ways to measure your ring size  

With an existing ring you know that fits:  

1. Select an existing ring that fits the desired finger. 

2. Measure the internal diameter of the ring in mm  

3. Use the below chart to determine your ring size.  

With a piece of string: 

1. First, cut a thin paper or thread and wrap it around your finger. Ensure the thread is below the joint and close to the knuckle. 

2. Mark the location where the thread meets and measure the distance.  

3. Measure your finger a few times to ensure the sizing is correct. 

4. Use the circumference measurement on the chart below to determine your ring size. 

At this time the only custom pieces will be those with personal stamping. These items are unable to be exchanged as they have been made just for you. 

If you have made a spelling mistake or error for the request of a custom stamped piece please contact me immediately. I urge you to double check any spelling when ordering. 

I am not making any custom opal pieces at the moment. All available opal rings will be uploaded to my Instagram page and shop.

Studio Rielle is a home studio based in Tasmania Australia.
All of the pieces are made by hand in studio with materials sourced from all over the world. 

All silver rings are made of recycled sterling silver and Opals have been sourced directly from the miners in Australia. 

Short answer, YES! 

All my pieces are waterproof. Wearing in the shower is fine. Just make sure to dry your jewellery off afterwards.

I do not recommend swimming in chlorinated pools with your items as harsh chemicals such as chlorine can cause a chemical reaction. Please wash your item with clean fresh water to avoid this if you do swim in a pool or hot tub.  

Please avoid Hot Springs. The sulfur in natural hot springs will wreak havoc on your silver. Unless you're going for that "dark oxidized" look, avoid at all costs. Never wear any gemstones in hot springs. If you love your piece the way it is, never wear your jewellery in any hot springs.  

 Gold filled is the closest thing to solid gold without the high price tag.  

Gold-filled jewellery is composed of a solid layer of gold mechanically bonded to a base
of either sterling silver or some base metal. 

Gold-filled material has a much higher amount of gold in it and is much more valuable than gold plated. Over time, the gold layer of Gold Filled jewellery wears away, exposing
the base metal underneath however it will last a lot longer than gold plated jewellery.

It is also safe for those with metal allergies. 

SILVER

Sterling silver is prone to tarnish and dull over time so it is important to use a silver polish cloth to wipe and clean your jewellery regularly. To clean you can use warm
soapy water and a soft cloth. Do not use any chemicals or harsh abrasives as this can damage the piece. 

TIP- The more you wear your silver pieces the better The natural oils in your skin will
“clean” and polish the jewellery while you wear it. These oils protect the
sterling silver from several of the things that speed up the tarnishing process.

GOLD FILLED

The best way to clean gold filled pieces is much the same as silver. To clean use warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Do not use any chemicals or harsh abrasives as this can damage the piece. 

It is best to store all your pieces in a airtight box or pouch to prevent tarnishing. 

To avoid your gemstones falling out from your jewellery, I recommend removing your jewellery when doing physical activities or swimming in chlorinated water.  

Keep your gemstones & pearls away from skincare, detergents and perfumes to avoid loosening their fixtures. To maintain shine, regularly clean your gemstones & pearls with a clean cloth to remove any dirt, sweat, chemicals etc. 

OPALS 

Opals are a soft stone. This means they are not as durable as other stones like diamonds. It is best to avoid doing any physical activities that could scratch or knock and break the stone.   

OPAL DOUBLETS

If you have bought a piece that contains an opal doublet please avoid water as much as possible as doublets are made up of two layers. After time water can start to separate these layers and ruin the integrity of the stone making it more prone to breakage. For this reason I rarely use opal doublets and only use solid opals.

SHIPPING TIMES

Please note that with current state of the wrold there are uncertain long delays on shipping times. I am not responsible for wait times on your orders. There are no refunds on orders that are taking a long time to be delivered. I hope you can understand that this is out of my control.

Due to new import rules I will not be able to ship to The United States of America.  I apologise for this but recent changes have made it near impossible for small businesses like mine to ship to the USA with increased tariffs, fees and time consuming processes.  If you really do have your heart set on a piece and live in the USA, send me an email or message and I can quote you for how much shipping to the USA will cost. ❤️

Ready made items will be shipped within 2-4 working days (Mon-Fri).

For custom items please refer to the description on the item page when ordering for manufacturing and shipping times.   

All deliveries are shipped through Australia Post and tracking will always be provided. All items over $300au have added insurance.

Australia Domestic shipping according to the Australian Post website:

Regular post please allow up to 2-6 buisness days.
Express post please allow up to 2-3 buisiness days. 

International Orders

International orders have a few options for shipping, these are calculated at checkout with Australia Post pricing. All international orders are provided with tracking.

Sometimes duties are charged to recipients of international mail items and are determined by the destination country. Because I have no control over these charges I am unable to advise what duties may apply.
